Is it possible to have a fire in the fire pit during the summer months?
The fire danger season runs from 15th November to 30th April, and during this time, guests are not able to use the fire pit. On total fire ban days, the fire pit must not be used under any circumstances. We closely monitor local fire conditions and will promptly notify guests if a total fire ban is declared. Campfires other than in the designated fire pit are prohibited.
Please note this does not apply to the hot tub. The hot tub can be used all year round as it is an enclosed fire.
What are the fire danger season and restrictions?
The period of heightened fire risk usually extends from November through April, although these dates are subject to change, during this time no fire pits are permitted. For precise information on fire danger seasons, we recommend visiting the Country Fire Service (CFS) website at www.cfs.sa.gov.au.
Wood-Fired Hot Tub:
Please note that the wood-fired hot tub must be operated with extreme care during Fire Danger Season. The heater door must remain closed at all times, the tub must be supervised while in use, and hot coals or embers must never be disposed of on the ground or in surrounding vegetation. A hose is located nearby and must remain accessible. On Total Fire Ban days, the hot tub fire must not be used under any circumstances.
During days declared as Total Fire Bans, we ask that you exercise caution and use the Weber Q at a safe distance from any combustible materials.
